  • CycleOps Fluid 2...

Description

CycleOps' Fluid2 Trainer utilizes Power Band technology to allow for distinct resistance changes without reaching to a lever on the unit. The large flywheel with fluid resistance delivers a smooth, realistic road feel while sturdy legs provide a stable platform for pumping out hard, 600-watt efforts and out-of-the-saddle climbs. A favorite among serious racers, the Fluid2 is easily transportable and stands up to repeated punishment by the burliest of legs for years of impressive performance.

I received the Fluid 2 Trainer as a gift this past year (although I'd been shopping for them as well!) This is an upgrade for me in regards to my use of an indoor trainer as I had a Magnetic resistance trainer that I've put in countless miles on over the past five years. The CycleOps Fluid 2 trainer was fairly simple to set up. If you have any questions, there are some simple online videos that will give you a lot of insight. In terms of use...definitely make sure the tension is tight (will hear an audible click from the dial). I say this because my first few rides I didn't. The first thing that I noticed right away was the integration of the power curve, that the Fluid 2 trainer brings. On a magnetic trainer, you control the resistance via the trainer, and then that's pretty consistent unless you adjust it. With my old trainer I knew my levels pretty well and could, if needed, go for up to two hours or so at a pretty consistent rate, level, and results. With the Fluid2, however, I noticed right away that I was in for something different...which is a great thing. I'm having to focus more now on power output rather than just speed/distance. In turn, I'm adjusting my workouts to be more specific (not just get on and ride.) 2017 for me was a great year on the bike...through personal accomplishments and improved results. I'm excited for 2018 to see how a different trainer and program via the Fluid2 and Cycleops will turn out!

I just set up my CycleOps Fluid 2 tonight. It was relatively easy and straightforward. The unit seems sturdy and well built. I don't anticipate any issues, but if I do encounter any, it is reassuring to know the trainer comes with a lifetime warranty.

Smooth and most realistic simulation to an outdoor ride. Originally purchased another trainer, the quality didn't meet my expectations and return the trainer for this trainer.

This is a fabulous trainer. Incredibly easy to set up and equally easy to use. I use an indoor trainer 3-4 times a week during the lousy weather months here in Northern Ohio. It offers you a chance to get a great workout in in 30 minutes to 90 minutes.
